Courgette flowers stuffed with anari and feta cheese





Ingredients for courgette flowers and filling

  • 8 courgette flowers
  • 80 gr of unsalted anari
  • 80 gr of feta
  • Salt, pepper, oil for frying
  • Grape syrup

 

Ingredients for batter

  • 50 gr all purpose flour
  • 50 gr corn starch
  • 1 tea spoon vinegar
  • 1 tea spoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup of cold water
  • salt

 

Instructions

  • Mix the cheeses in a mixing bowl, add salt and pepper. Fill the flowers with the cheese mixture using either a tea spoon or a pastry bag to pipe it in.
  • Mix the ingredients of the batter until you have a smooth mixture
  • Dip the flowers in the batter and deep fry them in hot oil until golden in colour
  • Drain the flowers in kitchen paper and serve with grape syrup
