Training on the authentic gastronomy culture and the philosophy behind the ‘Cyprus Breakfast’ for the hotels in Larnaca
On the 22nd of June 2017, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation in cooperation with the Larnaca Tourism Board organised in Golden Bay hotel a training workshop to inform the hotels in Larnaca about the Cyprus Breakfast programme.
The hotels in Larnaca showed a great interest in adopting the "Cypriot Breakfast" as a mean of enriching and improving the quality of the local breakfast and the promotion of Cypriot gastronomy. At the training, the participants had the opportunity to get Cypriot recipes and be trained how to prepare them. They have also received an insight into the Cyprus Breakfast and the philosophy behind supporting local producers and promoting the local authentic cuisine.

Louis Group has organised a full training program on the Cyprus Breakfast at Fifth Floor Restaurant, Pafos. Chefs from Louis Group HQ along with chefs from Ledra, Imperial and King Jason Hotels attended the seminar on the use of local ingredients in improving breakfast menus, thereby upgrading their Cyprus Breakfast buffet. At the same time, staff from these hotels attended a seminar on improving their knowledge on the cultural value of the local gastronomy. The whole event was carefully planned by Louis Hotels Operations Manager Mr Savvas Perdios in close collaboration with Program Coordinator Mr Savvas Maliotis.

Chefs from hotels that are participating in the Cyprus Breakfast programme have attended the first two seminars on the use of local and traditional products in the preparation of authentic recipes for improving the ‘Cyprus Breakfast’ menu. Trainers, George Kyprianou and Yiannakis Agapiou have prepared more than a dozen new recipes using traditional food products and chefs showed great enthusiasm in learning new and innovative ways for using them for improving the breakfast menu.
